A. Admission
1. The academic cycle starts from July 15 th and ends on 31 st July annually.
2. The interested students are required to update their “interest form” with all required details.
B. Students selection criterion
1. Age of joining the Pathashala should be 13th year of age completed for boys and 15th year of age complete for the girls, before the effective date of joining. (Only Adhaar card or Birth certificate will be considered as proof. )
2. Maximum age for joining shall not be above 18th year completed.
3. Students from 9th year completed till 13th year can be considered as special case only if the stay and food facility will be arranged by the guardians outside the Pathashala campus. Such students are required to follow all other code of conduct without exception.
4. Married students will not be considered without exception.
5. Ease in adoption to the daily discipline of the Pathashala.
6. Possibility to completely focus on the Shastra studies without any diversion to anything studies for at least three years or till the completion of the Shastra stream selected, whichever is earlier.
7. Possibility to adaption of common food facilities as may be available with the Pathashala without exception. No separate cooking or food facility will be made available or entertained, allowed in any situation for those studying at the Pathashala.
C. Probation period
The experts have noticed that some students face difficulties in understanding the subject taught. Some understand properly but are unable to express it in a proper way.
It can to very well identified by the teachers within 1 year. In such situation the student and his /Her parents will be intimated regarding it . Here the student and the parents may take the decision to stop the studies .So this period of 1st Academic year may treated as probation period .
In spite of such condition if the students continue to study, a letter is expected from the parents to indemnify the issue and Pathashala will not be bound to complete his or her portion in scheduled time. But such student will be encouraged to gain the ability in respective Shastra and will not be discriminated.
D. Academic governance
1. All the decisions regarding the study course, exams and syllabus to be taught to the students shall be decided by the Principal or the teacher of respective subject and his decision regarding the same shall be considered ultimate.
2. Semester exams are mandatory by the Datta Devasthanam and Tenali Institutes. The exams will commence only after completion of one year of studies by the student.
3. Any other formal education or any hobbies whatsoever other than the course being pursued in the Pathashala shall not be encouraged.
E. Schedule
1. The Pathashala shall start from 6:30am to 6:30pm for the formal studies. Students are required to make themselves available after their daily routine activities.
2. Holiday is only once in a fortnight i.e., Pratipada as per Hindu Calendar.
3. On formal holidays, students are expected to inform their plans about the outing if any to the administrator before deciding.
4. Annual leave will not be more than 10 days in the month of July. The same may be announced one month before.
5. Feature phone can be used by the students for calling the parents from 7pm in the evening till 10pm.
6. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be at 7:30am, 10:30am and 7:30pm respectively.
7. Pranayam at 5:00 pm and the morning Prarthana at 06:30am is mandatory for all students.
8. Playtime for the students is from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.
9. Parent should be visiting their children only during the parent meeting formally
organized by the Pathashala and informed from time to time. No arrangements for the parents visiting for such meeting will taken care by the Pathashala authority.
10. The special leave for travelling to the home will be permitted only for the following
excuses:
a. Marriage or Thread Ceremony of the siblings
b. Illness of the parents or the Guru
F. Food
1. Students cook their own food from the material provided by the Trust in Pathashala Premises.
G. Etiquettes
1. Students may wear Bharatiya clothing in the campus of the Pathashala.
2. Smart phone to be used only ones in a fortnight (Pratipada).
3. News paper reading of any kind is forbidden in the Pathashala premises.
H. Exit process
1. The students may take exit in probation period and it will be considered as probation exit.
2. After the probation period students discontinuing due to disinterest or any kind of conflicts or unsuitable facilities will be considered as willful exit.
3. Students may have to leave due to medical or any other genuine reason from the Pathashala before completion of one of the Shastra streams. This will be considered as circumstantial exit.
4. Students leaving after completing the studies of at least one Shastra stream will be recognized as graduates.
I. Fees and Charges
1. No fees shall be collected by the Pathashala regular course curriculum.
2. Refundable interest free annual deposit of Rs. 6,000 shall be collected before admission of the student in the Pathashala. This money will be refunded to the students after completion of one of the Shastra streams or adjusted against the payable amount on willful exit.
3. In case of Probation exit and In circumstantial exit, the deposit collected annually will be adjusted as donation from the family of the student.
4. Monthly collection of Rs. 100 per month amounting to Rs. 1,200 for the year for student’s welfare shall be payable for each completed and incomplete months at the starting of the year along with the deposit amount. This will used for the trips, programs, shows and get together of the students from time to time.
5. The student’s cost of travel, medical expenses, clothes and other consumables shall be born by the students.
6. In case of willful exit, a fee of Rs. 2500 per month calculated for all month completed as well incomplete from the inception of the Pathashala studies shall be collected from the student.
J. Others
1. Birthdays or anniversaries are not celebrated in the Pathashala.
2. Parents and guardians are requested to intimate the Pathashala about the change in their address or phone numbers for ease of contacting.
3. Parents shall have to provide an affidavit to make sure that the child will not be taken away or disturbed during the education from the Pathashala before completion of the at least one Shastra, once admitted.
4. Student needs to have a nationalized bank account in his or name before joining the Pathashala.
5. Students safety is of utmost importance to the Pathashala authorities. Utmost care is taken for ensuring physical and medical wellbeing of the students.
Having said that, the Pathashala or any of the trustees or teachers don’t take any responsibility whatsoever on campus or off the campus about any disaster of any kind like accidents or medical eventuality happening to the students during the course.
